| Welcome to my on-line Gallery. I am California artist Lois Andersen. I have always loved drawing and painting animals, especially horses, since I was a small child. Every piece of paper had a horse or some other critter drawn on it. I have combined my love of painting and animals to produce remarkable animal portraits. My goal is to capture the spirit of each animal and to convey its individuality, grace, and strength. Basically a self-taught artist, I work primarily in oils. I am accepting commissions for custom portraits of horses, cats, dogs, and other animals. I will also be offering original artwork, prints and cards. Please contact me for more information.
